Its major sites include St. Stephen‘s Cathedral with the largest cathedral organ in the world, the historic city centre with the bishop’s residence and Veste Oberhaus.

Tuesday June 6, 2017 - Dürnstein

Arrive at 7:00 am – Depart at 1:00pm

The Wachau is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Lower Austria. Since 2000, it has, together with the Melk and Göttweig abbeys and the old town of Krems, been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. Tour the picturesque small town of Dürnstein and its attractions and then sample the typical “Wachau whites“ at a wine tasting.

Music program: Afternoon onboard concert featuring one of the Vienna Philharmonic chamber ensembles. 

Tuesday June 6 & Wednesday June 7, 2017 - Vienna

Arrive at 6:00pm Tuesday – Depart Wednesday evening June 7

Vienna is on the program for this evening and next day. As we leave our dock we pass by “New Vienna“ with the United Nations and Danube Island and then explore Imperial Vienna at night: grand buildings such as the State Opera, the Burgtheater and the Votive Church will enchant while driving around the famous Ringstrasse.

On the second day in Vienna choose between Highlights of Arts & Culture or a Wine & Culinary Vienna program – so many possibilities to enjoy your day!

Music program: After dinner the transfer by coach to the Vienna Konzerthaus. The world famous tenor, Juan Diego Flórez will give a recital with piano accompaniment in the Mozart Hall. 

Thursday June 8, 2017 - Budapest

Arrive at 9:00am – Depart Friday June 9 at 2:00am

A wonderful day and evening stretch out ahead in the beautiful Hungarian capital. Stroll along the Danube promenade, experience the Hungarian spa culture in the Gellért Hotel – Budapest is another major highlight of our journey and there is time to immerse yourself in the lifestyle of this city that straddles the Danube. Throughout the day a few excursion options will be offered. Hungary’s hospitality is legendary and its gastronomy is simply mouth watering. Egészségére – To your health!

Music program: After dinner, we transfer to the wonderful Liszt Music Academy, where we will experience a special evening with Edita Gruberova and Michael Schade

Friday June 9, 2017 - Mohacs

Arrive at 1:00pm – Depart at 6:00pm

Due to its location right on the Danube as a connecting axis from Budapest to Serbia and Croatia, Mohacs attracts many travellers. Pécs is one of the oldest towns in Hungary, where the many historical monuments give the place a Mediterranean atmosphere. Optionally, we can o er a visit to the beautiful town or a trip to the countryside, where the Hungarian horse herders show of their skills on horseback and you can enjoy regional specialties.

Music program: Morning onboard chamber ensemble concert with members of the Vienna Philharmonic. 

Saturday June 10, 2017 - Belgrad

Arrive at 7:30am Saturday – Depart Sunday June 11 at 1:00am

Belgrade, Serbia‘s capital, lies on the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers and is a city with a turbulent history. Enjoy the panoramic views over the city and surrounding area from the landmark of Belgrade; the Statue of the Victor, a falcon bearing a victory messenger set on a Doric column.  

Attractions in Belgrade include the country palace of Princess Ljubica in oriental Balkan style, the National Museum and National Theatre, the Federal Parliament on Terazije Square and the villa-suburbs of Topčider and Dedinje.  Another attraction is the Cathedral of Saint Sava, one of the largest Orthodox places of worship in the world. On a sightseeing tour you can see Belgrade highlights such as the Cathedral or the National Theatre, under whose roof three art ensembles are united – opera, drama and ballet. 

Sunday June 11, 2017 - Day on the river

This day is totally dedicated to relaxation on board and you can watch the riverside scenes unfold along the way.  Be assured that your vessel and its crew are completely dedicated to satisfy your personal wishes and comfort.

Monday June 12, 2017 - Tahitotfalu (docking)

Arrive at 3:00pm – Depart at 3:30pm

The stop provides the possibility of disembarking and taking a bus trip along the Danube Bend to Ezstergom. 

Monday June 12, 2017 - Esztergom

Arrive at 6:30pm – Depart at 7:30pm

Enjoy incredible views of the Danube Bend region and visit, among other sites, the Cathedral of Esztergom, the largest church in Hungary, which was the model for St. Peter‘s Basilica in Rome. 

Tuesday June 13, 2017 - Bratislava

Arrive at 8:30am – Depart at 5:00pm

Acquaint yourself with the capital of the young Slovak Republic, which has evolved in recent decades into a major industrial and port city. Well worth seeing are the presidential Grassalkovich Palace and the seat of government, the former archbishop‘s summer palace and the Gothic St. Martin‘s Cathedral, which has for a long time been the coronation church of Hungarian kings.  In the morning you explore the delightful old town of Bratislava by mini-train.  Whether a museum visit, an exhibition or church visit – this European capital offers an interesting program.

Music program: After lunch the acclaimed soprano Edita Gruberova will give a concert in her hometown at the historic Opera House. 

Wednesday June 14, 2017 - Melk

Arrive at 11:00am – Depart at 3:00pm

The Lower Austrian municipality of Melk is on the right bank of the Danube and sections of the city, such as the Abbey of Melk, form part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Wachau.   A visit to the Melk Abbey is a must, presenting the history and the present-day of the monastery while in the Abbey Park with the Baroque pavilion, you will have time to relax and enjoy – with a musical surprise!
